Samsung’s smartphone with the pop-up front-camera

Back in 2019, notch-less displays of smartphones were all the rage and with the advent of pop-up front cameras, those ugly looking punch holes in the notch-less phones were gotten rid of. As for now in 2020, it seems that instead of pop-up cameras, the new rage is all about punch holes. However, Samsung is now making a return to its hardware design as the new leaked renders of the company’s Samsung Galaxy Smartphone shows the pop-up front camera.

The renders for the upcoming still-unnamed Samsung smartphone were shared by @OnLeaks; a notable leaker. The renders present a design approach that was adopted by Samsung for their Samsung Galaxy A80. But this time they have incorporated the said deign in this new phone in a different way. The device’s front is clean as it does not have any punch holes or notches for looking at. As for the bezels on this device, they are thin mostly, as the bottom bezel has a little length to it.

The main feature of this device is its pop-up front camera. The Galaxy A80 also featured a pop-up front camera but that phone made a rotating pop-up camera mechanism for the sake of using the one camera setup for both rear and front camera. As for the unnamed leaked Samsung device, it takes the conventional approach to have a pop-up front camera. This gives it the look that is mostly shared with other smartphones such as Redmi K20 Pro, Honor 9X, Realme X, OnePlus 7 Pro, and many others.

The thing that will be making this device distinguishable in 2020 is that it will most likely come with the fingerprint scanner on its back. So far in 2020, we had seen phones with the in-display fingerprint scanner that was in the AMOLED devices along with the side fingerprint scanner for the LCD devices. As for the display technology of this unnamed device, it is still not known.

Along with the fingerprint scanner, one can also see the triple camera setup on the back as well as the curved side edges on its back. @OnLeaks also mentioned that this phone has the USB Type-C port along with the IR Blaster and lacks the 3.5 mm headphone jack. The diagonal display of the device is about 6.5 inches whereas the rest of the device has dimensions of 183.5 779.2 mm. other than this not much more is known about this device which includes its name.
